ne
Hundred years after the '45 the Highland Society commissioned
the "Costumes of the Clans" and the resulting
publication THE CLANS OF THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS was dedicated
to Queen Victoria (1845 and 1847 editions). |
| The
paintings by R. R. McIan from this book are some
of the most enduring and well known images of Scotland
in the world. |
| In
recognition of their place in the history of Scotland
a range of hand painted figures have been created.
The most painstaking efforts have been taken to produce
unsurpassable accuracy in the quality and detail of these
stunning figures modelled by one of the top sculptors
working in this field. |
| It
takes almost three months to master sculpt each figure
and it is only now, after nearly two years development,
that we are ready to release the first figures and produce
a phased program of introduction of the remaining figures. |
